On Friday night at about 7:30 we got in no problem to the Yonge Street location, but it was starting to fill up by the time we left. To start, some complimentary crispy tortilla chips with mild and medium-ish salsa.
Then onto the Classic Margarita - not really recommended - I should have gotten the iced instead. Ian didn't have much to say about his Corona so I can only assume it was good.
For the main course, I had the Tamal with pork. It was a delightful concoction of corn husk, cornmeal, veggies, big chunks of pork and tomato sauce and cheese on top - all baked to steaming hot. Some decent black beans in a tortialla cup and salad on the side.
Ian had the combo plate that came with a beef burrito, chicken enchilada and a cheese quesidalla. Came with rice and salad. Ian liked it all, but his only complaint was that someone destroyed the structural integrity of his rice (it was actually me).
We seemed to have timed things abolutely perfectly! We got about 2 songs of the band as we were leaving, but enjoyed most of our meal with some quiet.
Total bill $50.34 including tax and tip.
